TOPEKA, Kan. Personnel at (WIBW) – Overbrook Engagement Center He surprised the state’s top school counselor with news of a statewide award Wednesday.

Erin Metsker was named Kansas Consultant of the Year; it was a privilege that the entire school celebrated with him. The school held an assembly to announce his nomination and, surprisingly, the actual award.

Kansas School Counselor Association He says Metsker’s compassion and dedication to his students stand out from the crowd in 2024. Principal Lorle Bolt nominated Metsker, who was then referred to KSCA by teachers at the school. And many of the students say he is their favorite person in the building.
