Portland police arrest five in Forest Avenue shooting, still searching for NH suspect

Five more people have been arrested for their alleged roles in a deadly shooting on Forest Boulevard in late July.

They are all charged with aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit assault, according to Portland police spokesman Brad Nadeau.

Police are still trying to find the sixth man, 45-year-old Kristofer Haken of Londonderry, New Hampshire. Nadeau said Haken “may be dangerous and armed” and they believe he is affiliated with the Outlaws Motorcycle Club.

Aaron Karp, who was arrested in August and charged with murder in the shooting, also has ties to the motorcycle club, police said. At previous hearings, the state prosecutor had claimed the entire incident stemmed from a rivalry between the Outlaws and another club.

Karp, 47, He pleaded not guilty on November 5. and is currently being held in the Cumberland County Jail. The state charged him with shooting 54-year-old Susan McHugh of Gray.

The new five defendants include Kaleb Cidre, 22, of Windham, Jason Keenan, 45, of Bath, James Moody, 30, of Bowdoin, Caleb Pelkey, 33, and 48, of Portland. Nathan Walsh of Lewiston.

Nadeau declined to say whether police believe the men were also affiliated with a motorcycle club.
