Brassall: The driver who lost control of the truck and crashed into a cattle truck and a car was reported dead

A driver reportedly lost control of his light truck and was killed in a horrific collision between a cattle truck and a car.

Police are investigating a fatal truck crash near Brassall on Tuesday.

Initial investigations showed the light truck was traveling eastbound on the Warrego Highway at around 12.45pm when it lost control and was struck by a B-double cattle truck and a car.

The 56-year-old Marsden driver of the light truck died at the scene, while no one else was seriously injured in the major collision.

The Warrego Highway was closed for several hours and reopened at around 1am on Wednesday morning.

The B-double truck was carrying cattle and some of the animals had to be euthanized due to the accident.

The Forensic Accident Unit’s investigations continue.
