BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The Bryan Police Department arrested a Navasota man and charged him with a murder that occurred in 2020, according to court documents obtained by KBTX.

Eric Voshon Davis, 26, was booked into the Brazos County Detention Center on Nov. 15 and his bail was set at $100,000.

According to the arrest report, on Oct. 27, 2020, police responded to the 2500 block of Long Drive for a homicide.

Police arriving at the scene found the body of Roderick Ray Morrison, who was shot in the doorway of an apartment building.

The arrest report states that the motive for the murder was to steal money and drugs from the victim.
