“Around ten members of the banned Chhatra Union tried to hold a procession in an alley in Dampara area. They fled after shouting slogans for just two minutes,” said Jahedul Kabir, police officer in-charge of Chawkbazar police station.

He also said that an AL leader named Mohammad Shahjahan was arrested from the region.

“After receiving information about the flash procession, the police raided that area and arrested the head of the concerned unit of AL,” Jahedul said.

Meanwhile, a 1:04-minute video uploaded on social media shows 10-12 people chanting pro-AL slogans such as “Don’t be afraid of Sheikh Hasina, we have not left the arena” and “Us again and again under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina”. need.”

Later in the video, the demonstrators are seen running away after being chased.

Early on Monday, a group of 15-20 people took to the streets with a flash procession in Chattogram.

Another flash procession A statement was made in Sylhet last morning in support of the Awami League.

This was the protest model adopted by opposition parties, including the BNP, in the face of strict crackdowns during the AL regime. Gather in one place, stage a parade, quickly take photos and videos, and then quickly disperse and disappear into adjacent streets.

Earlier, chief advisor’s press secretary Shafiqul Alam said AL would not be given permission to hold a protest program in Dhaka.

Following the demands of the students, the interim government banned the Chhatra League under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 2009 on October 23.
