Sign stolen from Jefferson Hall

Officers with the Ohio University Police Department responded to Jefferson Hall on Nov. 8 for a larceny charge.

According to OUPD, a report of sign theft was made at 10:42 a.m.

On Nov. 8, OUPD officers responded to Ohio University Transportation Services at 100 Factory Street for a report of property damage.

According to OUPD, a report of damage to fuel pumps was received in the evening.

Deputies responded to Summit Street in Glouster for a third-party report of a dispute on Nov. 11.

Deputies stated that the incident was not a dispute. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the teenagers in the home were not doing their job or listening as instructed.

Deputies helped the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office locate a person involved in a hit-skip crash in Franklin County on Tuesday.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies located the person on Chase Road in Albany and notified the person to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

OUPD officers responded to University Terrace for a traffic accident on Wednesday.

According to OUPD, officers filed a no-injury report for a traffic accident that included failure to control the vehicle and crash leaving the scene.

Deputies responded to Route 691 on Wednesday for a report of a suspicious person and vehicle.

Deputies located the individual on Lemaster Road and determined he was experiencing relationship issues and needed someone to talk to. Deputies returned to duty after speaking with the individual, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

OUPD responded to Read Hall on Wednesday for a report of an emotionally disturbed person.

The individual was transported to O’Bleness Memorial Hospital for an immediate pre-screening evaluation, according to OUPD.

Deputies responded to Ohio Avenue in The Plains on Wednesday for a report of criminal damage.

Deputies interviewed a witness and a complainant at the scene and recorded a report. According to the statement made by the Sheriff’s Office, an arrest warrant will be requested for the suspect.
