Bellmead Police arrest suspect caught poaching on neighboring land

BELLMEAD, Texas (KWTX) – The Bellmead Police Department says they have arrested a wanted suspect who was caught hunting on a neighboring property without consent.

On November 15, the Bellmead Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) attempted to serve a felony warrant in the 700 block of Selby Lane.

Officers learned that the wanted man, Christopher McFee, was hunting on neighboring property without the landowner’s permission.

After a lengthy search, police arrested McGee and learned he had illegally hunted a deer.

Police found McFee’s personal belongings and the gun used to kill the deer in the area.

The Bellmead Police Department said they are grateful to Texas Parks and Wildlife, the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office and the Waco Police Department for their assistance in this case.
