WYTHE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – A woman accused of setting another woman on fire has been taken into custody, according to the Wythe County Sheriff’s Office.

Savannah Renee Adams was taken into custody Monday on charges of attempted second-degree murder and felonious assault.

Deputies responded Sunday to reports of a woman being set on fire on Ramsey Mountain Road in Max Meadows.

According to deputies, the victim suffered severe burns to most of his body and was taken to a private medical facility for treatment.
