West Midlands Police Double stabbing incident under investigation West Bromwich.

The incident happened on Lindsey Road on Sunday evening. The incident is thought to have occurred around 19:00 in the parking area next to the Coach and Horses tavern.

WMP said its officers were called disorder reports On Kesteven Road at around 7.30pm.

Police said two men suffered stab wounds after their car was stolen. The injured were taken to the hospital with injuries.

Five teenagers – three aged 16, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old – were arrested on suspicion of serious assault and robbery in connection with the stabbing.

Laura Cheesewright, who lives in Berkshire Close off Lindsey Road, said: “We heard a woman screaming and ran out of the house to see what was happening.

“We are high up on this road so we could see a lot of police activity there and two ambulances escorted us to the scene.

“Although many cars passed us in the evening, I am not aware of any incident that has occurred here before. I hope everyone is okay in this situation.”

A message on the Coach and Horses Facebook page said: “We have been contacted by a number of people asking questions about a stabbing that occurred in that area.

“We can confirm this did not happen on site but we believe it did happen in the adjacent park. Everyone involved has their thoughts.

The scene was quiet, although a package containing cutting shears and sterile gloves were left on the playground this morning.

A couple walking their dog said they heard a commotion at their home in Lindsey Road on Sunday night.

The woman, who did not want to give her name, said: “There are a lot of drug incidents here, but we do not get involved and try to keep our distance. I don’t remember any stabbings before, but no way.” Surprise me if it’s about that.”

A spokesman for WMP said: “We have arrested five people in connection with a stabbing in West Bromwich.

“We were called to reports of disorder on Kesteven Road in West Bromwich at around 7.30pm yesterday (Sunday).

“Two men suffered stab wounds after their car was stolen. Two injured people were taken to hospital.

“Shortly afterwards we arrested five young men on suspicion of serious assault and robbery.

Five young people, three aged 16, one aged 17 and one aged 18, remain in custody for questioning.
