A teenager has been taken to hospital after police say he was stabbed while on a trail in Manchester at the weekend.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing on Cheney Rail Road around 4:20 p.m. Sunday.

When police arrived, they said they found a 15-year-old male with stab wounds.

He was transported to Connecticut Children’s Hospital for treatment. Police did not provide detailed information about the seriousness of the injuries.

Investigators believe the people involved agreed to meet at the location of the stabbing.

No arrests have been made at this time, but the investigation is active and ongoing.
