Pittsfield Police arrested a 19-year-old following a hit-and-run that occurred Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Tyler and Pine Streets, according to The Berkshire Eagle.

Officers say a 50-year-old man was in the crosswalk when he was struck by a car turning onto Tyler Street.

Police said the victim was thrown onto the car, but his injuries were not life-threatening.

The 19-year-old driver was found later that night. Charges are pending.
