SALISBURY, MD. – The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday afternoon.

Around 4:20 p.m., deputies responded to the 500 block of North Curlew Road in Salisbury following reports of a shooting. At the scene, they encountered a female victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies were able to administer life-saving measures until emergency services arrived and transported the victim to Tidal Health.

Police said the victim was in stable condition despite life-threatening injuries.

Deputies and detectives identified Dequan Maurice Bratten as the suspect in the shooting. An arrest warrant has been issued for the 32-year-old Salisbury resident.
