Private | Meet the woman who blew kisses to unsuspecting subway passengers in New York

If someone blows something at you in the New York subway system, it’s usually not a kiss.

“I heard about all the bad things going on on the train, so I wanted to put myself out there by spreading love,” Jones, 25, told The Post between air kisses at the 50th Street B/D/F/M station. This week.

“There is Shootings and stabbings on trains“So I wanted to put a smile on people’s faces and let them know that the solution is always kindness and love, not violence,” he said.

Jones, a lifelong Bronx native, had a friend record his hilarious reactions to their first encounter earlier this month and posted a video of his underground prank on TikTok.

The clip reached millions of views almost overnight.

“I was very proud. ‘Yes!’ I said… People were reaching out to me and saying such nice things,” she recalled of the viral moment.

However, “I’m also like, ‘Where’s my kiss?’ ‘Where’s my kiss?’ In my messages,” added Jones, who works in social services as an outreach case manager at the nonprofit Breaking Ground.

So far, he’s only tried this action on men because “I don’t want women to get the wrong idea,” he said.

“If I can put a smile on someone’s face, it doesn’t hurt,” Jones said. Michael Nagle

Since her first TikTok video on November 4, Jones has continued to blow kisses to random men on the platform as the train moves, and the seven videos she has posted have racked up nearly seven million views.

Some are seen smiling, waving and even returning kisses, while others, in typical jaded New Yorker fashion, pretend not to notice.

“A lot of people will look away; I really don’t care, because the train is gone and I’ll never see them again,” he said with a shrug.

Jones, who has seen homeless men masturbating on the subway and recently seen someone yelling racial slurs at him, is taking extra precautions to keep himself safe.

“I’m waiting for the train doors to close so I can knock on the window and blow a kiss. I don’t want to give anyone the opportunity to hurt me; you never know with people,” he explained.

“I like to think it makes someone’s day. You know, people on the train often look very miserable. People are down there. But if I can put a smile on someone’s face, it doesn’t hurt,” Jones said.

Grizzled thongs, more accustomed to dodging no-nonsense vagabonds or drug addicts, hailed this “sweet” trick.

“I think some people are probably upset about it, but overall it’s really nice. It’s a good effort and it’s important that he’s here to do this for people,” Anooshka, a 33-year-old Williamsburg woman, told The Post.

“Riding the subway is stressful, you know, and if someone shows you some love, it means a lot,” said Ashon Mac, a security guard from Harlem.

“I would send one straight back to him. “If a beautiful girl shows me affection, I love it back,” added Mac, 34.

“I think it’s great; more people should do this,” said visitor Jonathan Smith, 40, from Amsterdam.
