ROME, GA. (Atlanta News First) – A woman was hospitalized after being shot outside a Walmart, according to Rome police.

Police said emergency responders went to the Walmart in West Rome around 10 p.m. Police said a “domestic dispute” resulted in a woman suffering a gunshot wound. The alleged attacker was nearly witnessed trying to escape but was quickly taken into custody.

According to police, “the incident is believed to have occurred between acquaintances.”
