Aoved, the new RPG from Fallout: New Vegas and The Outer Worlds developer Obsidian, will be available on Battle.net, and players will be able to purchase it with gold, World of Warcraft’s in-game currency.

This is a rather convoluted method of purchasing a game like Avowed, but it’s at least possible in theory.

The announcement that it was on Battle.net surprised some people, but it’s not entirely strange, as Microsoft now owns Battle.net through its acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The $70 standard edition of the game and the $90 digital premium edition (which comes with five days of early access) will be available on Battle.net.

Alternatively, Avowed will be released on Xbox Game Pass for Ultimate subscribers. Avowed was originally planned to be released in 2024, but was later delayed to 2025. However, the delay was not due to quality-related reasons, but was postponed to 2025. Planning to help Game Pass.
