“‘So what should we do? Who should run the party?’ I will take Ambassador Rahm Emanuel, bring him back from Japan, and appoint him as chairman of the Democratic National Committee,” Axelrod said Tuesday on his podcast “Hacks on Tap.”

On Wednesday, Axelrod wrote to @HacksonTap: Ambassador @RahmEmanuel. There may be others, but he’s kind of a natural born: Dude knows how to fight and win!”

But it’s not clear that Emanuel would be well received by others if he accepted the offer to chair the DNC.
