A man is dead following a shooting near Hayward Avenue Friday morning, police said.

Baltimore Police officers responded to the 3600 block of Hayward Avenue Friday morning, where they discovered an unidentified victim who appeared to have been shot to death.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene just after 6:46 a.m. in Northwest Baltimore, according to a news release from the department.
