Assassin’s Creed Shadows leak looks to show free battle pass rewards

leaked Shadows of Assassin’s Creed Images have emerged showing various free battle pass rewards for Ubisoft’s upcoming blockbuster.

Assassin’s Creed has never offered a battle pass before, and Ubisoft has yet to officially reveal any details about how it will work.

However, datamined content appears to indicate that players will be able to progress through a battle pass that includes 20 free levels and receive cosmetic items by completing daily missions from the game’s new Animus Hub. Ubisoft now appears to be deleting images from social media. reddit.

Cosmetic items include optional visual items that Assassin’s Creed has regularly made available for free and for sale in the past, including character costumes, weapon skins, and new skins for your mount.

Assassin’s Creed has long hosted daily and weekly missions. As with most Ubisoft games, these timed challenges and rewards are available in the publisher’s Ubisoft Connect app.

Shadows looks to facilitate all of this in the Animus Hub, the new and still rather vague home of the series’ modern story that will also serve as connective tissue between future Assassin’s Creed games.

Leaked images show Shadows’ co-protagonist Yasuke standing in the Animus Center, suggesting that players will be able to use character avatars to navigate there.

Eurogamer discussed the issue Animus Hub project, also known as Assassin’s Creed Infinity, in developmentwith franchise boss Marc-Alexis Coté in 2022. “This will be our fans’ only entry point into the Assassin’s Creed series going forward,” he said at the time.

At a BAFTA event attended by Eurogamer in London earlier this month, Coté went into more detail about how the series will tackle modern narrative in the future, after admitting the following. It had been a “struggle” to remain consistent since the departure of the series’ first protagonist, Desmond.

“Our goal is to put history back at the center of the players’ experience,” Coté said. “The modern narrative will serve to enhance rather than overshadow the historical journey. By creating a meaningful contrast between past and present, we aim to restore the balance that was once a hallmark of the series.”

“The modern story will explore deeper themes such as memory, identity and autonomy, how the past shapes who we are and how controlling that past can affect our future. These themes will allow us to reflect on current issues: freedom and control, freedom vs. the power of knowledge and individuality The tension between and conformity, all through the lens of history.

“The foundation of this new direction will be shaped by Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which will form the basis of this narrative evolution that will grow in the coming years.”
