WARRICK CO., Ind. (WFIE) – A Warrick County mother found guilty of her baby’s death will be sentenced Friday.

Court records of Caylin Monroe He was found guilty of capital murder and negligence last month..

This was after authorities said her three-month-old child died of starvation in 2022.

Authorities said Monroe admitted to skipping feeding the baby and would also forget to do so.

We will update this story when sentencing information is released.

Meanwhile, the baby’s father, Jakob Scott, is also charged with murder and negligent death.

He was scheduled to go on trial earlier this week, but court records show the hearing was canceled last month.

Scott will appear in court again on Monday, December 2.
