Catholic counselor arrested, accused of smuggling UGX150 million from an elderly couple

A Catholic Church adviser has been sent to Luzira prison on charges of looting 150 million shillings from an elderly couple by claiming he would get them to travel to the Vatican in Rome, Italy, to meet Pope Francis. Paulius Mugambe, 71, was arraigned at Mwanga Court 11 and pleaded not guilty to one count of theft. The court was presided over by Chief Justice George Kunihira.
