An elderly woman and three people were injured when a car crashed into an optical shop in Hong Kong’s Tuen Mun district on Friday.

Police said they received a report of the crash on Lung Mun Road at around 3.25pm.

In addition to the driver of the vehicle and a passenger, a pedestrian and an elderly woman also suffered minor injuries and were taken to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment.

Police have not yet confirmed whether the woman was in the vehicle as a second passenger or a spectator.

Photos circulating online show the car crashing in front of the VIP Professional Optical Center near the Glorous Garden housing estate. It is seen that the barriers on the sidewalk and the garbage bin were also hit during the incident.

Police reported that the investigation into the accident is continuing.
