‘Special’ for Mariah Carey to dethrone ‘Queen of Christmas’ title

“I know we got it in early November, we’ll see if it continues that way for the rest of Christmas,” Jason said as he took over the holiday tone from Carey’s iconic song “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

“We caught this in the Christmas slump, not a lot of people are listening to Christmas music, so we jumped in there.”

“I’ll take it where I can get it. It’s pretty amazing,” he added.

The former Philadelphia Eagles center also reflected on his time working with Nicks, 76, on a holiday duet and called the experience “incredible.”

“I mean, I’m honestly still amazed at the fact that this actually happened,” Jason said on the podcast. he said, adding: “There’s no percent chance that any song I’ve been on will debut at No. 1 on any service in any genre.”

“Yeah, don’t be too confident, Stevie Nicks,” Travis, 35, chimed in.

“That’s absolutely true,” Jason agreed with a laugh. “Good point!”

Jason and Nick’s chart-topping Christmas duet was released on November 8 and is featured on Jason’s annual Philadelphia-themed holiday album. Philly Special Christmas PartyIt will arrive on November 22.

The podcaster first performed a duet with Nicks on October 2. Instagram postlike him He shared a photo of the couple in what appeared to be a recording studio.

Discussing the collaboration on his podcast in October, Jason said: “It’s pretty crazy to be on the same track as Stevie Nicks. I mean, it’s absolutely unreal. (She is) probably the most legendary female singer,… (and so) the fact that I get to sing this legend with her is pretty unreal.”
