What is that colorful building on Waterloo Road in Cleveland?

CLEVELAND — There’s a pretty eye-catching building in the heart of the Waterloo Arts District. You really can’t miss this on Waterloo Road.

“A woman walked in. She thought it was a club,” said Pop Life owner Biz Rogers.

“People think these are all different kinds of things; we have all kinds of interesting things that people think about,” Rogers continued.

Rogers said many people who enter the wellness center do so because they are curious about what’s inside such a colorful space.

“The premise is seamless, holistic,” Rogers said.

The business was founded to be a one-stop shop for personal health. Behind the doors is a completely vegan cafe called “Nourish”. It serves bowls, salads, smoothies, and even ready-made meals and snacks.

“It’s rare for a place to have this many options for plant-based eaters,” said Megan Denman of Lakewood.

Denman and her friend Victoria chose the colorful venue to meet for lunch.

“Yes, this beautiful Pop Life and beautiful cafe are coming through and it feels very lively and cozy with all the colors in here,” Denman said.

“This makes me happy,” said Mentor’s Victoria Hamm. “It’s beautiful outside. I’ve driven past there before but I didn’t know what it was; I thought maybe it was an art gallery or something.”

There’s a shop full of products from local artists and manufacturers, and a safe from when the building was a bank. Nowadays, safe deposit boxes keep the dreams and ideas of people who stop by.

There is a fully equipped fitness studio upstairs.

“We have a lot of yoga in general right now, we have a lot of gentle yoga and things like that, so we’re really starting to dive into high-intensity interval training, boot camps and things like that,” Rogers said.

“The first lesson is free for everyone. Everyone can try whatever they want. We have lesson passes, walk-in offers, and student prices,” Rogers continued.

The studio also offers meditation, color immersion therapy and a healing area with a personal sauna.

Pop Life is always looking for new instructors to teach in their field.

Rogers is passionate about making these services and events accessible in Collinwood.

“We grew up in this area and it is very important for us to provide a space and offer, especially for young children growing up.”

Pop Life will soon begin donation-only Friday classes for the children’s movement.

In the hustle and bustle of the day, taking a break indoors can encourage you to slow down and take note of all the liveliness life has to offer, “hoping to have these spaces, these places, these activities, these things,” Rogers says, “which allows people to let their brains buzz, to do the thing that sets their souls on fire.” “will provide and design it,” he said.

On Saturday, November 16, Waterloo Vegan Market will host its store inside Pop Life from 12:00 to 15:00.
