PSP says fight over ex-boyfriend led to stabbing

CHESTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — State Police say an 18-year-old woman stabbed another woman in Chester County on Wednesday following an ongoing argument over her ex-boyfriend.

Sapp stabbed a 19-year-old victim in the head with a 6-inch knife during a fight after going to the woman’s home, according to Troopers. The victim told him that if he wanted to fight, he would come to his house.

State Police say the two women were fighting with each other over their exes.

The victim was taken to Lancaster Hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition, according to the troopers’ report.

Sapp retrieved the knife from his vehicle and stabbed the victim as he left his home to confront Sapp. Family members at the home saw the fight and came out to help the victim, police said.

One of them managed to take the knife from Sapp. State Police were able to find the knife with blood on it.

Troopers said Sapp eventually entered the State Police Avondale Barracks and allegedly confessed to stabbing the victim.

In addition to attempted murder, Sapp faces charges of aggravated assault, robbery, theft, recklessly endangering another person and possession of an instrument of crime with intent.

The preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 19.
