    Millions of students eagerly await their PSAT scores after the first round of results are released in late October.

    PSAT or Pre-Scholastic Aptitude Test is an important step in preparing for the SAT. While it may be a little shorter and less challenging, a strong PSAT score can open the door to great scholarship opportunities.

    However, the competition is quite fierce; Among the more than 2 million students who took the PSAT in 2020-2021, only about 7,500 people were awarded National Merit Institutional or university-supported scholarships in 2022, according to US News & World Report.

    When do PSAT scores come out in 2024?

    College Board, the organization responsible for the implementation of the test, announced that the scores obtained from the October 2024 exams will be announced gradually on three dates. The final stage is today, November 14th.

    The College Board notes that there are several ways to check your PSAT score.

    • School counselor: Your school counselor will receive a PDF version of your score that they can share. Some college prep websites state that your advisor may have test scores before they are posted online.
    • BigFuture School mobile app: If you added your phone number on the day of the exam, you can check the app for scores.
    • University Board student account: Your score and information will be available online.
