HOUSTON – A suspect accused in connection with a string of sexual assaults in north Houston appeared in court Thursday morning.

Bond for Denzeill Sneed, 29, was set at $200,000. He is charged with burglary with intent to commit other crimes, including sexual assault and aggravated sexual assault.

Authorities identified Sneed as a suspect in two of five sexual assault cases that have alarmed residents in the West Gulf Bank region. Police say there may be a second suspect involved in other attacks.

According to police, the first incident for which Sneed was charged occurred on Aug. 14 at 5454 West Gulf Bank Road. Sneed is accused of attacking a woman in her home. Police said the man was able to get inside and was inside the apartment before the woman arrived at the home around 6:30 a.m.

The second incident occurred on November 8 at 3434 West Little York Road. Police say a female victim was attacked by a suspect named Sneed and entered the apartment through an unlocked door around 7:30 a.m.

Police announced the accusations He was detained in the Acres Home area during the investigation launched against Sneed on Wednesday.

Houston police are still seeking information on a second possible suspect in three other incidents.

The suspect is only identified as a black man in his 20s. Police released security photos of the suspect.

More sexual assault cases are being investigated

Houston police are still investigating three other reported sexual assaults.

Houston police shared the following details about three other reported sexual assaults:

• On Oct. 9, around 7 p.m., at 5300 West Gulf Bank Road: A female victim was assaulted by a suspect who broke into her home. The suspect was armed.
• On Oct. 17, at approximately 2 p.m., at 5350 West Gulf Bank Road: A female victim was attacked by a suspect who knocked on her apartment door and forced entry. It was learned that the suspect was wearing a ski mask and was armed.
• Around 7:50 a.m. on Oct. 24 at 5350 West Gulf Bank Road: A female victim was attacked by a suspect who knocked on her apartment door and forced entry. It was learned that the suspect was wearing a ski mask and was armed.
