Ronnie Singh, NBA 2K’s director of digital marketing and often referred to as “Ronnie 2K” in the gaming community, says Caitlin Clark is clearly in the running after her historic rookie season.

“I think she’s a young star who’s here to stay for the long haul. I wouldn’t disqualify any woman, but Caitlin is at the top of the list and will probably remain so for years to come,” Singh told Fox News Digital. in a recent interview.

Singh said cover athletes normally represent three qualities: originality and representation of the game, if they’re on an upward path and aligned with the story they’re trying to tell. Singh said Clark checks all those boxes.

Singh spoke with Fox News Digital as part of its new partnership with Lids for its “Personal” holiday campaign, which celebrates the intersection of sports, fashion and personalized gifts.

“It’s a great plan when it comes to what we’re trying to do in the culture and we fit in really well. It’s super cool and it’s really cool how it’s coming together,” Singh said. “It’s incredible. People wear jerseys all the time, but you go to the Lids wearing caps and their favorite teams, retro looks and incredible tributes to some of the best logos and teams you’ll ever find… Celebrate our heroes and teams of the past and do it in such a cool hat “It’s super cool to be able to do it with an outfit.”

But there is another actor Singh is considering to cover in 2K: Angel Reese.

“They are both extraordinary women and we are lucky to have them both. The moment W happened, I can’t tell you how many stars there were and how much we love celebrating them all. I think both of these women will definitely seize this moment as the years go by.”

Clark and Reese were the only rookies named WNBA All-Stars last season. Reese set the record for most rebounds in a season in league history, but Wilson surpassed him when his season was cut short by injury. Meanwhile, Clark became the player with the most assists in a WNBA season, averaging nearly 20 points per game.
