easyJet explains why flights to popular Spain destinations have suddenly ended | Personal Finance | Finance

Holidaymakers planning to travel to Spain in the summer may have to revise their plans as easyJet discontinues flights to the popular destination.

A customer hoping to book a flight to Madrid contacted the airline because he was concerned to see that flights were no longer available after the first few months of the year.

Contact us via X and ask: “Are you going to stop the Madrid-Luton route after March 2025?” they asked, sharing a screenshot showing the cheapest prices for flights from London Luton to Madrid for each month, with prices ending in March next year.

At the time of writing the last tickets available for the Luton to Madrid and Madrid to Luton route were for Friday 28 March.

In response, easyJet said: “Some routes are seasonal. We are constantly reviewing our routes and flight availability, so please continue to check our website.”

They also sent a link Where one can sign up for a newsletter to receive the latest updates as new flights are released.

easyJet also has a low fare finder tool You can use it to find some of the cheapest flights up to and including 2025.

Flights between Luton and Madrid will restart towards the end of October, with the first flight operating in both directions on Sunday 26 October.

If you still want a city break in the Spanish capital, there are several flights to Madrid from other London airports in the summer next year.

Ryanair has flights between Stansted and Madrid, while British Airways and Iberia also operate flights to and from Heathrow.

easyJet has launched flights to five new routes from Birmingham Airport. This includes twice-weekly flights to Marrakech in Morocco from £31.99 return.

If you want a slightly cooler city break, you can head to Iceland’s capital to see the Northern Lights in Reykjavik, from £50.29.

The airline also launched services to Hurghada in Egypt, Prague in the Czech Republic and Krakow in Poland.

“They can now choose from a wide range of fantastically priced easyJet holiday resorts, as well as flights to Marrakesh, Reykjavik, Hurghada, Prague and Krakow, and we look forward to welcoming them on board.”
