JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Mini Bar donut shop will no longer be in the Deerwood neighborhood near Gate Parkway.

Owners mini barThe store, located at 10618 Deerwood Park Boulevard, posted a post on Facebook on Wednesday stating that the donut shop will serve the sweet treats for the last time on Nov. 24.

The Mini Bar is known for serving fun-sized donuts with coffee to allow guests to experience more flavor and variety. The owners said they were approached with an offer they “couldn’t refuse” that would allow the new owners to transform and rebrand the space into another concept.

This is Mini Bar’s last store in Jacksonville. The original location in Jacksonville Beach, which opened in 2018, closed in February 2023. The Fleming Island store closed after eight months in the fall of 2022, according to the Jacksonville Daily Record. reported.

The owners of Mini Bar did not reveal what the future holds for the venue, saying they would allow the new owners to make this announcement.

“With all of this happening in such a short period of time, we had very little time to prepare,” the Facebook post said.

There will be large sales of products and stock until the closing date. Working hours will also be changed in order to assign more staff to serve guests on the last days of the Mini Bar.

“This is truly bittersweet for us! We are forever grateful for your love and support! We look forward to seeing you and reminiscing over the next two weeks,” the post said.

Community reaction included disappointment in seeing what many called a Jacksonville favorite leaving the small business scene.

“I am horribly gutted right now,” TJ Wilson commented on Facebook. “You’ve always been the best place to get gluten-free donuts. Everywhere else in Jax was below average. You will surely be missed. Thanks for the memories.”

Loyal guests like Cheri Flack Jones also expressed their sadness.

“Oh no!! We will miss the mini bar very much!!! We loved Jax Beach and followed you to Gate Parkway. You will be missed so much!!!” Jones wrote.

The Mini Bar will be open every day from Monday to Saturday between 07.00-15.00 and on Sundays between 08.00-14.00.
