CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A 14-year-old boy who was previously given “many second chances” after being arrested multiple times is suspected of wreaking havoc on the community with dozens of recent crimes, and Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb said he is the one. bored.

The Cleveland Police Department said the 14-year-old boy suspected of committing a felony robbery on Halloween was arrested Nov. 11 by officers from the third and second precincts.

When officers tried to stop the stolen car, the driver refused and gave chase to the officers, according to Diaz.

The car was later found unoccupied in a parking lot on Kenmore Boulevard and the suspects were believed to be at a nearby home, Diaz said.

Detectives obtained permission to enter the home and found the 14-year-old suspect with a boy ages 13 and 17, Diaz said.

Diaz stated that all three young people were detained without incident and two firearms were seized at the scene.

Diaz said the preliminary investigation suggested the 14-year-old was “suspected of involvement in dozens of crimes.”

According to Diaz, the same young man had been arrested many times before for similar crimes.

Diaz said all crimes are being investigated and charges are coming soon.

The 17-year-old was also arrested in connection with the aggravated robbery on Halloween, according to Diaz.
