HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Police have identified a man facing charges following a shooting in the Longs area earlier this week.

Records show Frank Vereen, 23, was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

A police report obtained by WMBF News states these charges are connected to a shooting reported Monday in the area of ​​Highway 90 and Carries Lane Road.

Although details are limited, the document states that an officer with the Horry County Police Department had probable cause to arrest Vereen in connection with the shooting.

Records show Vereen was being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Monday. No bond had been set as of Wednesday, he said.

WMBF News has requested copies of warrants for Vereen’s arrest.
