Firefighters battle a house fire in Lansing early Wednesday

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Firefighters rescued two dogs from a house that caught fire early Wednesday morning in Lansing. Lansing Fire Department responded to the 3400 block of Lauderhill Circle, just west of Waverly Road, around 2:40 a.m. Wednesday.

The Lansing Fire Department told News 10 the residents of the home were able to get out safely and when firefighters arrived, they located the two dogs and brought them to safety as well. Our News 10 crew at the scene could see smoke billowing from the home’s front windows as crews worked to extinguish the fire.

The fire has been extinguished and is currently under investigation by the Lansing Fire Department.
