Jerry Jones says Cowboys’ Dak Prescott has opted for season-ending surgery to repair his injured hamstring

Just a few days ago, Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones expressed hope that quarterback Dak Prescott will avoid season-ending surgery to repair his injured knee.

“He doesn’t want surgery. He wants to be on the field and go for it. He’s weighing that. We’re weighing that.” Jones said last week. But Jones announced Tuesday that the three-time Pro Bowler opted to have surgery for a hamstring tear.

“His prognosis is great,” Jones said on his radio show. “It just means we won’t see him for the rest of the year.”
