Newburgh man charged with selling crack cocaine

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – A 43-year-old Newburgh man is serving time in the Vanderburgh County Jail after being arrested overnight.

Around 1 a.m. Tuesday, an Evansville Police officer ran a car’s license plate and discovered the driver, Robert D. Nickles, was wanted on several warrants.

Officers said Nickles was pulled over and taken into custody.

Police officers said they found more than 12 grams of crack cocaine and more than 5 grams of marijuana during a search of his vehicle.

Allegedly, police determined that the amount of cocaine found in the vehicle was not for personal use.

Robert D. Nickles was arrested and jailed on charges of Sale of Cocaine or Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Marijuana, Failure to Appear, and Other Agency Charges.
