No injuries, police open investigation after shooting at a Jamestown apartment complex

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – No one was injured when a gun went off at an apartment complex in Jamestown Tuesday morning.

On November 12, Jamestown Police were called to the 700 block of 14th Street Northeast. The victim told police he heard a gunshot early in the morning and a bullet went through the floor and hit the patio door.

The police later said in a statement that they discovered that a 16-year-old teenager had a gun in the apartment and that the gun went off while he was dealing with it.

Authorities stated that no one was injured during the incident. The juvenile is being referred to juvenile court on suspicion of reckless endangerment and use of a firearm within city limits.

Police said this incident is under investigation but is unrelated to the Nov. 11 shooting.
