The jury retired to consider its verdicts on five men accused of killing two boys over mistaken identity.

Mason Rist, 15; and Max Dixon, 16; He died from stab wounds after being chased by four armed youths in Bristol on January 27 this year.

Prosecutors allege the teens: Riley Tolliver, 18; and three boys, aged 15, 16 and 17, had been taken to Knowle West by Antony Snook, 45, as part of a revenge mission.

Two boys had been incorrectly identified as responsible for bricks thrown at a house in the rival Hartcliffe district earlier that evening.

Bristol Crown Court heard the pair were attacked shortly after leaving Mason’s home in Ilminster Avenue.

A CCTV camera at Mason’s home recorded the attack lasting just 33 seconds, including Snook’s Audi stopping, the four teenagers allegedly jumping out, attacking the two friends, returning to the car and the car driving away.

Mason and Max suffered fatal stab wounds and both died in hospital in the early hours of January 28.

The 15-year-old boy on trial admitted killing Mason but denied killing Max.

The 17-year-old admitted manslaughter in relation to Max but denies killing Max and Mason.

Snook, Tolliver, the 16-year-old boy and the 17-year-old boy are accused of murdering Mason, along with the 15-year-old boy, on January 27 this year.
