Dalton woman charged with OUI 4th ​​after head-on collision; The second driver, a 17-year-old, escaped serious injury | break

DALTON — One driver suffered minor injuries Monday and another was charged with OUI following a head-on crash on Grange Hall Road.

The injured driver, a 17-year-old Dalton girl, was transported to Berkshire Medical Center as a precaution following the two-vehicle collision around 5 p.m., according to Dalton Police Chief Deanna Strout.

Daryl Linker, 64, of Dalton, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, his fourth offense, Strout said. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Central Berkshire District Court on Tuesday and was released on personal recognizance.

Police temporarily closed the road until the scene was cleared.
