When deputies arrived, they found Michael James McCann of Molalla dead outside the home with multiple gunshot wounds.

McCann’s son, Michael Morris McCann, 34, was arrested by the SWAT team at his apartment at the Berkshire Apartments in Wilsonville at 5:50 a.m. Sunday morning. He was booked into the county jail on charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon.

“Around 5:50am I heard a pretty loud explosion, realized it was probably a flash bang and looked out the window. I saw the whole place completely filled with Clackamas County sheriffs, and that’s when they started going over the PA and telling the guy to get out with his hands up,” said Wilsonville neighbor Gary Hoffman.

The investigation is still ongoing and detectives are asking anyone with information to call the tip line at: 503-723-4949 or using online email form.
