What to Expect?

Participants will have the opportunity to fly drones at designated stations set up within Oriole Park and a nearby parking lot. These stations will allow participants to test their drone flying skills in a safe environment under the guidance of experienced drone professionals. In addition to the flight activities, tables located along Eutaw Street within the stadium area will feature information and demonstrations from key companies and organizations in the drone industry.

“Whether you are an experienced drone pilot or simply curious about drones, this event will be a unique opportunity to connect with industry experts and explore the world of drones,” the event organizers noted.

Schedule Highlights

The event welcomes public safety personnel from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a special time slot reserved for veterans from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. This planning approach allows both groups to network and connect with experts in their field.

In addition to drone flying activities, attendees will enjoy engaging talks and interactive demonstrations exploring the latest developments in drone technology. Organizers added: “Don’t miss this exciting event! We hope to see you there!”

Event Logistics

Participants must enter through Gate A on Eutaw Street on the south side of the stadium. Parking will be available in Lot B, whose entrance is located in the 400 block of West Lee Street.

Food and Facilities
Lunch options will be available during the event, allowing attendees to recharge and continue networking. More details about food arrangements and specific stations will be shared closer to the event date.

Drone Usage Note
To comply with Maryland Stadium Authority regulations, attendees are asked not to bring their own drones. Event organizers will supply drones for participants to fly, ensuring compliance with local restrictions. However, participants are recommended to bring a microSD card to save photos or videos taken during the day.

Participating Organizations

The event features a variety of participants, including DRONERESPONDERS, Law Enforcement Drone Association, NIST, George Mason University Police Department, and DroneSense. These attendees represent a cross-section of the drone industry and provide attendees with valuable insight into different aspects of drone operations, safety protocols, and advances in technology.

Weather and Other Matters

Since it is an outdoor event, weather conditions may affect the program. Organizers plan to notify participants of any changes in advance to ensure smooth operations and safety.

From Vets to Drones and Baltimore Forensic Sciences look forward to welcoming veterans and public safety experts to this engaging event at Camden Yards. With opportunities for hands-on experience, networking and expert insights, the day promises to be an informative and enjoyable experience for all involved.
