Woman accused of attacking her elderly parents over money

Belton, Texas (FOX 44) – A 33-year-old woman was arrested by Bell County deputies, accused of assaulting her parents because they wouldn’t give her the money she wanted.

Cheryl Ann Rogers remained in the Bell County Jail Monday, accused of twice wounding an elderly person following the incident Friday afternoon.

Deputies were called to a residence on Fox Road in Belton at 5:40 p.m. Friday and found two people injured.

Man Accused of Forging $1.8 Million Check

The arrest affidavit stated that a female victim told deputies that the suspect became angry after coming to the residence to get money to visit her boyfriend in another city. When she was denied money, the victim began kicking and hitting the bedroom door to which she went, hitting her in the face and pulling her hair, the affidavit said. When the victim’s husband tried to get between them, they were both pushed to the ground. While the three were wrestling, the female victim was bitten on her left thigh and scratched on her other thigh. Deputies observed visible injuries and the victims were said to have been pushed to the ground twice, causing pain to the man’s back, the affidavit said.

Rogers was taken into custody and charged with two third-degree felonies, with bond set at $30,000.
