PHOENIX (AZ Family) — Several people were left homeless following a double house fire in Phoenix on Monday morning.

Around 7 a.m., crews were called to a burning parking lot near 27th Street and Indian School Road. The fire spread to the second house.

Fire crews arrived at the scene and cleaned both houses while fighting the fire.

Phoenix Fire said no injuries were reported and investigators are currently on scene to determine what sparked the flames. All nine people living in the residences were safely evacuated before firefighters arrived.

The community assistance program helps displaced people.
