My Mom Says Breweries Are the Most Kid-Friendly Places

A childless woman called on parents on social media to stop bringing their young children to breweries, but the backlash she received was completely unexpected.

Her video, which has since been deleted, was filled with responses from parents who wholeheartedly disagreed with her view.

After the woman said children should not be allowed into breweries, parents argued they were one of the most ‘kid-friendly’ places to go.

“Why do we allow parents to take their young children to breweries?” Erica Schmidt questioned.

He insisted that breweries were not suitable for children because their guardians were likely to drink alcohol and often let their children run wild and disturb others.

Schmidt called on breweries to implement an 18-and-over rule to prevent children from entering businesses.

While a childless woman insisted that breweries were not suitable for children, a mother argued that she was wrong.

Jessica is a mom from Texas The video from Schmidt, one of three children under the age of three, explains why he believes the brewery is one of the best public spaces to bring your kids, and says Schmidt has every right to suggest otherwise.

“Tell me you’re not a parent before you tell me,” he said in stitches.

“Imagine being so crazy that you had the right to think that Children should not be in publiche continued.

He claimed that in Fort Worth, Texas, “breweries are like the most family-friendly place here.” He explained that his family’s brewery of choice has a playground, corn hole, inflatable trampoline, and even a kids’ meal menu, so their kids can have age-appropriate fun while parents enjoy their beer.

As for Schmidt’s concerns about parents drinking in front of their children, Jessica insisted that she and most parents who bring their children to breweries make sure they don’t get too drunk around them or get behind the wheel.

“What’s the difference between going to a brewery and going to a Mexican restaurant and drinking a margarita?” he asked.

“Go to a nightclub, a proper bar or maybe stay at home,” he added in the video’s caption.

Other parents agreed with the mother’s assertion that breweries were kid-friendly.

“Believe it or not, breweries aren’t the only places that serve alcohol, and many breweries now have food, too,” says a dad passing by @chicagobeerhe stated in his own TikTok response. “Food and beer; it’s almost like a restaurant, and I guess we still allow kids in restaurants, right?”

Parents agree that if they are going to bring their kids to breweries, they need to drink responsibly and supervise their kids so other patrons can have fun.

“Parents need to be responsible for their children,” he said. “Kids can’t run around and If parents cannot treat and control their childrenGet out of the brewery.”

Another parent Kristen LaBellaHe said he often takes his 6-month-old daughter to breweries and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

“We enjoy having him with us. Other people like to see it. “And the breweries we go to are usually local and family-friendly,” he insisted. “There is a separate area for families and their children. There are literally parents chasing their little ones around.

LaBella also explained that there is a big difference between a brewery and a taproom. Bars are usually enclosed spaces specifically designed for adults to grab a drink; And breweries often provide more than just alcohol and offer kid-friendly food and activities.

Since breweries don’t exclude children, you can expect to see a few.

Breweries have become extremely popular places where people can enjoy a cold beer, snack on appetizers, chat with friends while listening to live music, and enjoy the outdoors on nice days. Many parents choose to take their children with them rather than leaving them with a babysitter.

However, while children are welcome at most breweries, parents must make sure they are entertained, satisfied and most importantly, safe.

It goes without saying, but parents need to drink responsibly and keep a close eye on their kids if they’re going to bring them to the brewery. Even if they have trampolines and cornices, other users should be respected and this area should not be seen as a playground.

As Parents.com notes“The bottom line is that parents can decide what is appropriate for their children and businesses have the right to impose age restrictions. Bosses, on the other hand? Request child-free areas on planesin restaurants and even breweries.”

While you’re drinking and dancing with your friends, you don’t usually expect little kids to be running around the bar late into the night. In fact, many states have laws preventing children from entering such establishments.

So, if you prefer child-free venues, you may want to go to a bar instead of a brewery!
