BANKS COUNTY, Ga. – The Banks County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting and believes the suspect is in custody.

The incident occurred Sunday in the Moccasin Gap Road area in Lula. Authorities said they found a woman shot to death there.

After the initial investigation, it was determined that this incident was isolated. Authorities say there is no immediate threat to the public because a person involved in the incident is already behind bars on unrelated charges.

This investigation is still ongoing.
