SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Investigators say a marked Shelburne police cruiser was involved in a fatal bicycle crash early Monday morning.

Police said the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. at the corner of Shelburne Road and Fayette Road in South Burlington.

The marked cruiser is said to have hit someone riding a bicycle pulling a trailer.

The cyclist died at the scene.

Police reported that the incident is still under investigation.
