Thurston County, Washington — A Thurston County homeowner faces murder charges after a man was found dead in his home Sunday morning.

Deputies responded to a home at 153 Ave SE near Lake Lawrence after receiving a call about suspicious circumstances just after 8 a.m.

When they arrived, deputies were told there was a second person in the home, but “little else was known.” An unresponsive man who appeared to be dead was found on the ground.

Authorities believe the dead man was a visitor from the Pierce County area.

Detectives were called to the house and continued the murder investigation throughout the day.

The homeowner was arrested for second degree murder based on the evidence collected. He was sent to the Thurston County Jail.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information to come forward.
