Mafikizolo lead vocalist Nhlanhla Mafu is said to be on a journey to pursue her solo music career.

NHLANHLA CHARTS SINGLE CAREER

Mafikizolo, who has been together since the 1990s, won the hearts of many people with her vocals and hit songs.

Their third member, Tebogo Madingoane, passed away on 14 February 2004, shortly after the release of their self-titled album Mafikizolo. Following Tebogo’s passing, the band continued to make music and remained together and strong.

But, ZiMojaIt was reported that there was tension behind the scenes as Nhlanhla planned to focus on her solo career and leave the group.

The publication reports that apart from his work with Mafikizolo, the singer also accepts solo concerts and recently released a new single called “Germany”. “Ngithanda WenaFeaturing DJ Tira and Amatycooler.

IS THERE TENSION BETWEEN NHLANHLA AND THEO?

A close friend told the publication that Nhlanhla and Theo had a falling out earlier this year.

“He’s definitely pushing his solo career even further and getting his own bookings outside of the duo as well.”

“It’s time. People still love Mafikizolo but each band member needs to pursue a career outside the band,” the source said.

Nhlanhla said he and Theo always had different managers because they represented unique brands in Mafikizolo.

Speaking to ZiMoja, he said that even though they work as a group with the same manager, they sometimes exchange information about their personal projects, whether they are related to the group or their personal projects.
