The 69-time Dutch international decided to leave the team after playing his last professional match for Eyuspor in 2023.

Babel announced on social media that it was time to end his career in teams such as Liverpool. of Galatasaray And of Ajax.

He wrote: “When I look back on my career, it feels surreal to think how far I have come.

“It has been a journey full of unforgettable moments, from my early days at Ajax to playing for some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

“I have been lucky enough to play with and against some of the best players in the world, and I have learned and grown in ways I never imagined.

Football It was more than a job, it was a way of life: Discipline, sacrifice, passion, victory and even pain played a role in my development both on and off the field.

“I am filled with gratitude for this amazing journey I have been on. Football has given me everything I dreamed of and so much more.

“Thank you to all my teammates, coaches, fans and even the media who were part of this incredible adventure. This match will remain in my heart forever. Thank you.”
