“He’s a great young man, he works hard,” Dupuis said of Granfors. “I’m so happy for him… he’s definitely my favorite today.”

Holliston (11-6-3) will face Tri-Valley League No. 2 rival Dover Sherborn (15-3-2) in the quarterfinals and will be one of five TVL teams ranked in the top 10 of Division 3.

The Panthers beat Dover-Sherborn 4-0 in September.

“As TVL coaches, this makes us proud,” Dupuis said. “We know how hard we train and prepare our kids and that every match is like a tournament match. There are no easy matches in TVL.”

With leading scorer Medhi Khemmich always a threat for the No. 7 Spartans (13-3-4), Dupuis tasked junior Cam Reffel with stopping him, which prevented Khemmich from registering a shot on target.

Sophomore Luke McHugh recorded his second consecutive shutout for the Panthers.

“My kids know it’s not over until the whistle blows,” Dupuis said. “Getting the game-winner with a header with 20 seconds left couldn’t be sweeter than this.”

Norwell 5, Weston 0 — Bret Amorosino scored twice and Ben Garland, Noal Simmons and Ryan Johnson added points of their own for the No. 9 Clippers (18-1-2) in a second-round win.

Old Rochester 2, Dedham 1 — Senior defenseman Aidan Costa scored the winning goal in overtime for the No. 13 Bulldogs (16-4-1) against No. 4 Dedham (15-4-1) in the second round. Old Rochester will face No. 12 Dighton-Rehoboth (12-2-5) in the quarterfinals.
