    Body found in suburban forest; Police are investigating the deathElk Grove Village police say they are investigating the death of a motorist who reported the discovery of a body near Higgins Road in Busse Woods on Saturday.

    ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Illinois (WLS) — Police say a death investigation is ongoing after a body was found in north suburban woodland Saturday morning.

    Elk Grove Village police said initial information indicates a driver noticed a person identified only as a woman lying around 9:30 a.m. in Busse Woods near Higgins Road, about a mile west of Arlington Heights Road.

    Cook County Forest Preserve Police are conducting a death investigation.

    Elk Grove Village police said they have no active missing person reports and there is no threat to the community.

    Authorities did not immediately provide further information.
