Auburn Tigers’ Best QB Visits Ole Miss for Georgia Game

Auburn Tiger You might not be too excited about the latest hiring update. Five-star quarterback Deuce Knight and Auburn meet today at Ole Miss, according to Inside the Rebels’ David Johnson.

Johnson posted a photo on X (formerly Twitter) of Knight on the sideline at Vaught Hemingway Stadium wearing an Ole Miss hoodie and what appears to be an on-field ID.

Ole Miss will host No. 2 Georgia on Saturday.

The quarterback recruiting has been committed to Auburn since Oct. 2. Translated from Notre Dame.

It’s important to note that Knight is from Mississippi. His hometown, Lucedale, is about a four-and-a-half hour drive from Oxford. At the southern tip of the state, on the Gulf Coast, Ole Miss is at the State Line with Tennessee.

Knight is the No. 52 player, No. 6 quarterback and Mississippi’s second-best player in the 2025 recruiting class According to 247Sports. With Jaxson Dart a senior, Lane Kiffin will be looking for a successor at quarterback.

However, it is worth noting that despite the success, Ole Miss generally does not recruit well, at least by conference standards. While they are ranked 21st in the nation, they are ranked 11th out of 16 among SEC programs.

So this doesn’t seem like a good sign that they’re guaranteed to beat Knight. But the look of Auburn’s schedule this year may have fans a little nervous.

The Tigers are 3-6 overall and 1-5 in the SEC, sitting third from last in the conference standings, ahead of Kentucky (1-6 SEC) and Mississippi State (0-5 SEC).

At a time when it should have been seen as a year in which a major step forward would be taken, this did not happen. So far, this hasn’t hurt Auburn’s recruiting. They have the fifth-best recruiting class in college football and fourth-best in the SEC according to 247Sports. The only non-conference program ranked higher is Ohio State.
